Danasia Jane Wheelwright

Wheelwright baby #4 now has a name, Danasia Jane Wheelwright. Jana was released from the hospital tonight. Today was a good day. Danasia was able to start eating breast milk from a bottle. Mommy and Daddy both got to hold her and she's now breathing on her own.

The Next Superhero Is Born

Our family got quite a surprise Sunday afternoon while at Grandpa Wheelwright's Birthday party. Jana's water broke and just as we were about to eat dinner. So while the kids enjoyed the party at Grandma and Grandpa's, Jana and I were admitted into Labor and Delivery at Logan Regional Hospital. We checked in around 5:15 pm and the baby was born just over two hours later. The baby was not due till February 22nd but this is the second time we've jumped the gun. Lexie Jo was six weeks early. This time, Baby #4 was five weeks early. Since Mom and Dad thought we still had some time to pick out a name, right now Baby #4 is being called Baby Wheelwright. She was born at 7:33 pm, January 24th. She weighed 5 lbs. 13 oz. and measured 18 inches. Both Mom and Baby are doing great. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Mom Said We Were Crazy!

Friday night, January 1st, Riley and Dad decided to sleep outside in the loft of our shed. We'd never tested out our newer sleeping bags that are rated to -20 degrees. They tried to convince the girls to join them but with no success. The sleeping bags worked great even with temperatures in the lower teens overnight. Their already planning when to sleep out there again.

Christmas 2009

Christmas 2009 was so much fun for us as a family. Some of the highlights included riding the train to Salt Lake to see the lights on Temple Square. With UTA's Front Runner now going as far as Ogden, we were able to board there and ride it all the way into the Salt Lake train depot. From there it was a short ride on Trax's to Temple Square. It was the kids first time riding a train and they loved it. Temple Square was cold that night. Lexie loved seeing the statue of Christ for the first time. When she turned the corner and saw how big it was she just stopped and starred. She then tried to scoot down the walking ramp like a slide while we were leaving.
Christmas Eve included our traditional reenacting of Luke 2. This year Riley was Joseph, Ariana was Mary, and Lexie was the Angel. Christmas day was full of presents, even though Ariana said she was worried Santa was not coming on account of how Riley teases her. Along with everything else, Riley received a Nintendo DSi. Ariana got a doll that swims in the bathtub, and Lexie got a Little Mermaid Barbie. Daddy gave Mom a Christmas Helicopter ride over Logan to see the lights and the Temple. And Dad got a new camping mattress.
